Great location but needs serious updates

I had an enjoyable time with my partner thanks to the stunning sea view from our room. However, the room itself felt quite dated, and we noticed some maintenance issues that really need attention. Despite these drawbacks, we appreciated the friendly staff who made us feel welcome during our stay.

I found the Seaport Village Inn quite convenient for storing luggage before and after check-in. The best beach for snorkeling is just a short walk away, which was a big plus. The staff, despite being small in number, were friendly and genuinely helpful. The rooms served their purpose for us. a simple place to catch some sleep and regroup for our outings. However, I did notice that the hotel needs some updating. Our ceiling fan and light weren't working, and there were visible water leaks in the ceiling and bathroom fixtures. The caulk around the tub looked a bit neglected. While we had about a 15-minute wait for check-in, the location was a great value. With the hills in Avalon, though, it’s a must to be prepared for some uphill walking unless you take a cart with your luggage.

Had an enjoyable 2-night stay in a spacious suite with a kitchenette. Perfect location for divers with easy access to dive spots. The view from the hill was beautiful! Just a heads up for taller guests, the shower could be a little uncomfortable. Would recommend for diving trips, not a luxurious vacation.
